The French Huguenots arrived in the Cape in the late 1600s and settled in what became known as Franschhoek, or ‘French Corner’. The Huguenots planted vines as the terroir was perfectly suited to the production of wine.

Allée Bleue was bought in 1999 by Friedrich-Wilhelm and Elke Dauphin, who were determined to breathe new life into the estate.

The wine has a pale straw colour with green tinge. The intense aromas of tropical fruit and well supported by an elegant vanilla and nutty bouquet. The palate is rich and vibrant with layers of sundried fruits, nougat and lemony aftertaste. The rich and ripe flavours are in perfect harmony with the zesty minerality.
