Old School Outing to Lymestone Brewery
Date of tasting: 30/01/2009
Location: Lymestone Brewery, Stone
This Friday, 30th January 2009
Old School Outing
7 for 7.30 pm
Tickets: £8.00 to include a Brad’s Beef Stew Supper.
Only 30 places available.
To see January off, we’ve arranged a small outing to visit our friends Brad & Ron at the new Lymestone Brewery in Stone. As many of you will know Brad was the Head Brewer at Titanic Brewery before he set up Lymestone last September, and is something of a ‘legend’ for the quality of his brewery tours.
We shall rendezvous at the Lymestone brewery, which is on the site of the former Bent’s Brewery in Stone (now known as the Mount Industrial Estate)
During this evening we shall get to understand how the Lymestone Brewery Functions and to taste the ingredients at the various stages of production. And then to round off the evening we shall be tasting the range of Lymestone’s “Stone” themed ales to wash down one of Brad’s Lymestone Beef Stew’s, (the beef for which is partially fed on the spent grains from the brewery!)
Sure to be an interesting and fascinating evening.
There are only 30 places available and because of the catering, we need tickets to be bought and paid in advance. So don’t delay!
To book tickets please do one of the following:
· Call us on 01782 372888 (we can take payment by card over the phone)
· Call into the Old School House (soon!)
· Reply to this e-mail (and then follow up with payment)
As the forecast for Friday is pretty cold and breweries are pretty draughty places (no pun intended!) it would be a good idea to wrap up warm and wear stout shoes (no pun intended again!)
As ever you must be at least 18 years old to attend.
