Heart of England Fine Food Festival

Foodie heaven: The Wedgwood Fine Food Festival: Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October 2009 in conjunction with Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF)
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Josiah Wedgwood over 30 marquees packed with fine food and drink, including Staffordshire cheese, fresh produce and regional wines will fill the Wedgwood courtyard. Visitors can enjoy tasty treats and delicacies from across the Heart of England region.
There will also be a HEART of ENGLAND Fine Foods Regional Cookery Theatre guest starring best-selling cookery writer and household name, Sophie Grigson. Sophie will be cooking dishes, which showcase the finest regional and seasonal produce. There will be three demonstrations each day, starting at 11am.
In addition Wedgwood’s resident chef, Dave Rose will be demonstrating the secrets behind his award-winning dishes including one of Josiah Wedgwood favourite dishes. Also demonstrating his culinary skills will be Taste of Staffordshire Masterchef 2008, Richard Cullen. Naturally all food will be served on Wedgwood china.
'Old School' will be taking over the Wedgwood Tea Rooms to serve everything but tea!
We have our ever popular 'Whisky Trail' with some 40 different Single Malts available to sample for just £1.50 per 'dram'. Our Champagne and 'alternatives' to Champagne Bar as well as a fabulous selection of interesting wines to taste and enjoy.
