Thursday 15th November
Beaujolais Nouveau Day!

As ever, the third Thursday in November is the day that the new vintage of Beaujolais is released and 2018 is looking like being a ‘cracker’.
Sadly, there is no longer a race to get it to the UK nor do folks drink it for breakfast however the general quality of Beaujolais has improved immeasurably. So, we take the opportunity not only to look at Beaujolais Nouveau (and ours from Domaine Berod is a beauty) but also to taste our way through our range of Domaine Beaujolais from the ‘Cru’ villages of the region. Should be a real treat.

There are just 25 tickets @ £7.50 each

The format is as ever simple: arrive at 7pm for a brief introduction to the wines. We’ve a few chairs but basically, it’s a stand-up-in-the-shop event. Taste your way through 7-10 wines with a few nibbles laid on and chat with your fellow tasters about the wines. Leave when you like.
Spend £50 on the night and get your ticket refunded as a discount.
All over by 9.30pm, after all it is a school night!

Thursday 22nd November
The Leading Edge of Boutique Antipodean Wines

This is one for the adventurous, open minded wine taster as we focus on some of the amazing and fascinating new wines that are appearing from Australia and New Zealand.
Often in the tiniest of quantities (think of 500 bottles as a lot) and very often as ‘one-of’ productions.
Expect to taste ‘orange’ wine and to have your perceptions challenged and maybe, just maybe your minds blown!
This will be a great tasting.

Thursday 29th November
Fizz!

Need I say more? Here we take the chance to ignore Champagne; the worlds finest and most expensive fizz and also Prosecco: arguably the worlds most popular style of fizz and instead we focus on the amazing fizz that sits in between these two corner stones. So, expect to taste fizz from Franciacorta, Mezzacorona, from Spain, from South America, from the New World and even from England, (where for once we can compete on the world stage!)
A fascinating and eye-opening tasting.
